1st Day: Marrakech to Taroudant
Marrakech is the city is Western Morocco and is the beginning place for out tour. It is known for its beautiful mosques, tombs, and palaces that we will explore before heading towards Taroudant. The Majorelle Garden will be visited after which we have lunch and head towards Koutoubia Mosque. We will explore the Bahia Palace which has 8 acres of gardens and 160 rooms. It will take some time. Thus, it will the last stop before we reach Taroudant. Our night stay will be at Taroudant, and we will enjoy a good meal before getting to bed.
2nd Day: Taroudant to Chegaga
Located in the Sous valley of Southern Morocco, the 2nd day of the tour is allocated to explore Taroudant before arriving at the final destination for the day – Chegaga. The Palais Claudio Bravo, which is a museum, will be visited after which we have lunch. Followed by the lunch, we will visit the historical gates of the city, which are famous photography sites. So, you can have a photography session before we head towards Chegaga. After reaching Chegaga, we have dinner and roam the streets of Chegaga to experience the different lifestyle. Then, it is time to fulfill our sleep before the beginning of the 3rd day.
3rd Day: Chegaga to Zagora
Camping under the stars and exploring the desert is the specialty of this trip through the Saharan Desert in Morocco. The sand dunes in Chegaga are worth hiking if you love sunsets. Even if you do not, once you experience one in the Sahara Desert, you will start loving them. The camels will be waiting for our presence so that we can ride their backs. After that, we will take a short rest in the camps before reaching Zagora – the final destination. We will explore a little bit of Zagora for dinner before the beginning of the next day.
4th Day: Zagora to Merzouga
Zagora is a small town in Morocco which is situated in the Draa River valley. The town got its name from the Zagora mountain that flaunts over it. We will go to the top of the Zagora mountain which will give you a view like no other. The top will make it accessible for you to see the remains of the Almoravid fortress; whatever remains of it. After that, we will have lunch and head on the route towards Merzouga. Merzouga is near the Algerian border and is a small Moroccan town. We will have dinner and get some sleep.
5th Day: Merzouga to Ouarzazate
The plan for the 5th day is to ride the camels through the day and stay in the desert during the night. We will be passing the green oasis of Ziz-Tafilalet,alongside many small towns and villages on the way.
The adventurous sand dunes will be the best part as we visit the oases of palm trees and some deserted mines as well. These are the spots for you to take your pictures. The night will be spent in the nomad tents after climbing the tops of the sand dunes to experience the best sunset seeing that you could ever have thought of.
6th Day: Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Soon after the sun has risen to the surface, it is the time for us to get back to Marrakech – our original starting point for this trip and the ending point as well – as the time comes to an end. Along the way, you will see the sand dunes, for the last time, and the camels whose backs will be ridden by people like you who love to travel through the Sahara Desert in Morocco.
Ending with lunch, the 6-day trip would end. It might seem as if six days went past very fast but, we ensure the enjoyment and worth of the tour.
